Leprosy infected Red Squirrel foraging in grass on the island of Brownsea, near Poole in Dorset, Southern England. It is the same variant of the disease which causes leprosy in humans - symptoms include, skin leisions, hair loss and swelling of their ears, muzzle and feet.
