Onigiri (Omusubi) isn't as famous as Sushi or Ramen but it is a soul food in Japan. It's gotten global recognition recently and International travellers want to try it when they are in Japan. The rice balls are stuffed with a variety of fillings and typically wrapped in seaweed but recent Onigiri goes beyond that. Mixed rice like clam cooked rice or char siu fried rice are formed into a triangle shape to make it Onigiri. I tried various Onigiri.
