$Rainbow Runner Elagatis bipinnulata occurs circumtropical and subtropical in a depth range from 0-150m, usually 2-10m, max. length 180cm, usually 90cm. Adults are found in oceanic and coastal waters, generally near the surface over reefs or sometimes far from the coast often around floating logs or other debris. Rainbow Runners may form large schools.
