View of San Giorgio Maggiore, a Benedictine church on the island of the same name in Venice, Italy. It was built by the Benedictines between 1566 and 1610 and designed by Andrea Palladio, The church is a basilica in the classical renaissance style. The island of San Giorgio Maggiore is right at front of the main island of Venice and it can be seen from the Riva degli Schiavoni through the Grand Canal.

The imposing Chiesa del Santissimo Redentore (a Catholic church designed by Andrea Palladio and known as Il Redentore) in Venice, Italy is the focal point. The wide-angle shot also shows the waterfront of La Giudecca Island with colorful houses and palazzi. A large swath of the Giudecca Canal runs along the bottom of the frame (with 2 green barges) and a brilliant blue sky at the top. Plenty of copy space available.
