Detail from the Kampos area/village in the outskirts of the City of Chios on the Greek Island of Chios in the Aegean Sea on a sunny midday in summer (July). The village is a very old residential and agricultural area with mansions and summer residences and orchards with citrus fruits. Many of the buildings have been restored whereas some are partly ruined. The image was captured on old-fashioned analogue film by an analogue 35 mm film camera and 35 mm f/2 prime lens. The granularity is real film grain (due to the presence of small particles of a metallic silver on the negative). The negative was scanned and converted to a black and white positive by software. Minimal post processing has been done. The image is part of a series of houses and backyards/orchards in Kampos, Chios, Greece.
