Anania hortulata, the small magpie, is a species of moth of the family Crambidae. It is found in Europe and North America. \nThe wingspan is 24–28 millimeters. The head and thorax are deep ochreous-yellow, black-spotted. Forewings are yellowish-white, markings blackish ; base blackish, with two ochreous-yellow marks ; a suffused costal streak ; lines thick, first irregular, second tending to form spots, curved, narrowest below middle ; small orbicular and large round discal spots, touching costal streak ; a terminal fascia tending to form spots, edge parallel to second line. Hind wings with colour, second line, and terminal fascia as in forewings ; a blackish discal spot. The larva is whitish ; dorsal line dull green, white-edged ; head and plate of 2 black. \nThe moth flies from June to July depending on the location. \nThe larvae feed on Stachys, mint and nettle (source Wikipedia).\n\nThis Picture is made during a Long Weekend in the South of Belgium in June 2019.

Bena bicolorana, the scarce silver-lines, is a moth of the family Nolidae. The species was first described by Johann Kaspar Füssli in 1775. It is found in Europe Turkey, Armenia, Asia Minor and Syria.\nDescription:\nThe forewings are bright apple green; the costal edge yellowish white; inner margin narrowly white; inner and outer lines finely yellowish white, oblique, the outer from costa before apex; hindwing white; fringe white in both wings. Larva green, smooth; the 3rd segment with a yellow tipped dorsal hump; subdorsal and spiracular lines yellow; some pale yellow lateral stripes.  The wingspan is 40–50 mm.\nBiology:\nThe moth flies in one generation from mid-June to August. The larvae feed on oak (source Wikipedia).\n\nThis Picture is made during a light catch in the South of Limburg half way of August 2021. It is a common Species in the Netherlands.

Eublemma purpurina, the beautiful marbled, is a moth of the family Erebidae. The species was first described by Michael Denis and Ignaz Schiffermüller in 1775. It is found from North Africa through the Iberian Peninsula and southern France east to Romania, southern Russia, southern Turkey up to western central Asia. In the north it ranges to Valais, in eastern Austria and Hungary and the Czech Republic. \nThe wingspan is 20–26 millimeters. Adults are on wing from May to June and from August to September in two generations. \nThe larvae feed on creeping thistle (Cirsium arvense) (source Wikipedia). \n\nThis Picture is made during a Long Weekend in the South of Belgium in June 2019.
Setora nitens adult moth life stage, pest of oil palm. Female and Male, the difference is from its antennae form. Female has basic filiform antennae, larger on body size and darker coloration.
