The historic Ingjaldshóll Church on top of the hill in Wintertime. The church at Ingjaldsholl serves the villages Hellisandur and Rif and is the oldest concrete church in the world. Reykjavík, Capital Region, Iceland: Hallgrímskirkja (Hallgrím Church)  - an Evangelical Lutheran parish church of the  Evangelical Lutheran Church of Iceland (State Church of Iceland), the largest church building in Iceland and the second tallest building in the country after the Smáratorg Tower - built in 1945-1986 and named after Rev. Hallgrím Pétursson hymn poet.  The building was designed by the state architect Guðjón Samúelsson. The external appearance is dominated by the Expressionist style, similar to the Grundtvig's Church in Copenhagen (1940). The concrete pillars are inspired by basalt columns, a common motif in the Icelandic landscape.
Beautiful church on a summer-day in Trollhattan. 1857 On the 7th of august Trollhättan became its own parish stated in a decree by the king. This occurred at a time when the town by the notorious falls showed signs of a vivid development, mainly through the coming into being of the Trollhätte Canal. Now there was a start of use of the power of the waterfalls and so factory plants built there.
