Looking at the Monument to the March Dead (German: Denkmal für die Märzgefallenen) in the Weimar Central Cemetery in Weimar, Germany that memorializes workers killed in the 1920 Kapp Putsch. A 1920 design produced by Walter Gropius, in collaboration with Fred Forbát, was selected from those submitted in a competition organized by the Union Cartel and Städtisches Museum Weimar.

The obelisk in Argostoli, Kefalonia, is a notable landmark located on the De Bosset Bridge, also known as the Drapano Bridge. This bridge, built in 1813, is the longest stone bridge over the sea in Argostoli. The obelisk itself stands on a small man-made island in the middle of the bridge and serves as a monument to British patronage during the time when the Ionian Islands were under British control. The obelisk, known locally as “Kolona,” was originally inscribed with a dedication to the British Empire in four languages: Greek, English, Italian, and Latin. Although the original inscription was removed in 1865 when the Greeks regained control of the island, the obelisk remains a symbol of the historical connection between Kefalonia and Britain.

It was built in about 120 days by the company Planex Engenharia Ltda, and the engineer Raul Sbroia Filho was responsible for the work. The monument is a reference to the beginnings of urbanization in Goiânia and its three points are directed to the areas that the city grew the most and is in continuous growth, which are the East, West and South regions.$
