The redbanded grouper, Epinephelus fasciatusIs a species of marine fish in the family Serranidae, Bunaken island, North Sulawesi, Indonesia,
Speckled Damselfish Pomacentrus bankanensis occurs in the Western Pacific from Christmas Island in the eastern Indian Ocean to Fiji, north to southern Japan, south to Rowley Shoals and Scott Reef in the Eastern Indian Ocean and New Caledonia. Since 2004 the species is recorded from Tonga. \nAdults occur solitarily or in small groups in lagoons, reef flats, passages, and outer reef slopes, usually amongst coarse rubble or rock, feeding primarily on pelagic materials, such as copepods, isopods, and pelagic tunicates. Distinct pairing is observed. Males guard and aerate the eggs. \nThis juvenile specimen does obviously not camouflage, but the opposite: dramatic colouration, known as aposematism, is a warning: unpalatability and toxicity - both prey and predator get to live longer. In this case its just a good bluff.\nKraka Island, Banda Sea, Indonesia, 4°30'10.6682 S 129°53'17.6959 E at 4m depth
