Johannesburg Telkom Tower, a telecommunications tower, dominates the Johannesburg city skyline. It has become a symbol of the city and appears in the city seal. Completed in 1971, it rises to a height of 270 metres, thus making it the tallest man-made structure with an elevator in Africa. Initially named the JG Strijdom Tower, it became popularly known simply as the Hillbrow tower, and in May 2005 it was renamed to Telkom Joburg Tower, with its new name displayed prominently in lights. It once featured a luxury rotating restaurant, but that was closed in 1981 due to security fears and is unlikely to be reopened.

Luena (Luso), Moxico province, Angola: Moxico Provincial Government headquarters, Portuguese colonial building in 'Estado Novo' architecture style - Moxico is the largest province in Angola, almost as big as Romania. Moxico located in the eastern part of the country and bordered by Zambia to the east. It is characterized by vast, sparsely populated landscapes dominated by dense forests, savannas, and numerous rivers, including the Zambezi, which originates in the province. Moxico's economy is largely driven by agriculture, forestry, and fishing, with the province's rich natural resources offering potential for development. Despite its size, Moxico remains one of Angola's less developed regions, with infrastructure challenges that have been exacerbated by the legacy of the civil war. The province is home to a diverse population with various ethnic groups, each maintaining distinct cultural practices and languages. Moxico also has significant ecological importance, with protected areas that are home to diverse wildlife, contributing to conservation efforts in Angola.
