The Neon Worm-Goby is not often seen in aquariums, but it can be kept in a tank that is at least 30 gallons in size. The tank should have a sandy bottom and plenty of hiding places for the fish. The Neon Worm-Goby can be fed small live food, such as brine shrimp and mysis shrimp.$

A kind of eel that makes a face out of the sand

Ophichthys melanochir) occurs widespread in the tropical Indo-Pacific from Madagascar and the Maldives to Indonesia (holotype of Ophichthys melanochir), the Philippines, and the northeastern and southwestern Australia in a depth range from 2 to 20m, max. length 120cm. \nThe solitary and burrowing species occurs over soft bottoms of inshore waters, feeding on cephalopodes, crustaceans and small fishes. The species is often encountered with only its head protruding from the sand. Its rare to see it like this specimen who was encountered in the Lembeh Strait, Indonesia.\n1°28'47.196 N 125°14'12.42 E at 12m depth$
